THE DETERMINATION OF ECONOMIC LEADING SECTOR IN DEVELOPING ECONOMIC POTENTIAL : A BASIC ANALYSIS FOR DEVELOPMENT PLANNING (CASE STUDY BREBES REGENCY, CENTRAL JAVA PROVINCE)

Abstrak

ABSTRACT To determine a regional economic development policy in accordance with the conditions of the region, it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on the state of the area in order to obtain data and information that supports the process of determining regional development planning so that the policies taken by the government are the most targeted. Based on 2017 data, Brebes Regency has a high poverty rate of 20.28 percent. This figure is included in the red block or above the percentage of the Central Java Provincial government and the central government. . Brebes is the district with the most population in the province of Central Java and the second largest area after Cilacap. .It is related to its ability to determine the real sectors that need to be developed so that the regional economy grows rapidly. It also requires the ability to determine which to be developed and are expected to encourage other sectors to develop.In determining economic policy, the Regional Government should make a plan that is directed at other sectors to develop. Therefore, in-depth research on the state of each region must be done to obtain data and information that is useful for determining the relevant regional development planning. What sectors are the potential sectors in the economy in Brebes Regency and how much is the contribution of the sectors forming the GRDP compared to the Central Java Province during the period of 2010-2016? In this study the author uses data with secondary data types. The data used is GRDP data according to the business field ats the basis of constant prices with 2000 base years in Brebes Regency and Central Java Province for a period of 7 years starting from 2010 to 2016.
